Last weekend Lisa and I flew to Bangkok staying in suk11 for 3 days. We did nothing but only shopping, eating and massaging; Bangkok is only 2 hours fly time away from Singapore, really a nice getaway relax place for us. Although we didn't spend our holiday lied on the beach, but we ate traditional Thai food, spicy and yummy! The whole trip cost me about S$550, including airfare, hostel, shopping and eating, don't forget the excellent massage.
Except all those non-culture experience, we also visited Jim Thompson's House, it was so beautiful to let you forget it need 100Baht to entry. If you like Thai Silk, you definitely need to come and see the beautiful fabrics.
Airport in Bangkok is the new one, packs a lot people in the departure hall, we waited for 1 hour to finish our check in, it led us no time for fooling around the tax free shop in the airport. And the taxi driver dishonesty attitude, ruin my good mood going home. He asked 400 Baht to drive us to airport, we didn't agree for that, so we asked charge by meter; he changed his mind and charged us additional 50 Baht service top up the meter price, although I was very unhappy we still compromise to his offer. It should cost us only 252 Baht for taxi to airport, instead of the 300 Baht because of the bad service driver.
I really hope they can approve those dishonest service for tourists, I didn't see any change since last year May visiting. But the good massage remain the same, it's the lucky thing for the whole trip.
